Better late than never

Well, finally it took some discussion with my friend madhu to start this blog, i'm grateful to him.
I wanted to blog simply as an outlet for my random thoughts for a very long time.
It just happened that today is the D-day & you are reading these lines now due to that.
That's enough for an intro i believe. To start with, what's better for an indian than
cricket:-) So here is what i felt about the perth test which india won.

1) On top i must confess it was an amazing feeling to watch the team win around 1A.M PST in my laptop, i just pumped my fist wildly in air just like a 18 yr old(BTW, i'm 31).Never felt so good in recent times after watching a match.

2) Slowly it started sinking in and once the emotions started to settle down, i really felt Laxman should have batted @ 3 instead of his customary 6.Afterall he was our best attacking batsmen on view & it made no sense to make him bat with the tailenders - quite baffling.

3) Indian cricket fans ought to be more rationale and should not accept unsportsmanlike conduct even against a known toughie like the Aussies, it should simply be not allowed - the scene of Bhajji & the outrageous Sreesanth badmouthing the opponents always embarrases me.Afterall the performance wins the matches but it is the behaviour that wins hearts:-)

4) I would like to express my deep gratitude to Peter roebuck & Nirmal Shekar(Hindu) for standing up for what is right & not wilting under irrational patriotism - read their articles to understand more.

That's it for now, will keep blogging.

Bye,
Ramki.
